June 28, 2011 THE END OF THE WORLD PT. 2 The May 21, 2011 church rapture prediction by Harold Camping has come and gone.  Those of us who heard of his prediction must accept one of two possibilities of what happened on this date; either Jesus did return for His church but found no one, including Mr. Camping, worthy to be raptured, or Mr. Camping gave a false prophecy.  Let's search the scriptures together as we take the Berean Approach to learn the truth regarding the end of the world prophecies and the return of Jesus Christ.  Click here for more information.  November 2010 THE END OF THE WORLD and today's "prophets" The Christian church will be raptured on May 21, 2011.  At least according to divine insight from preacher Harold Camping, who also believe that the world will come to an end on October 21, 2011. And then there’s the prophet Ronald Weinland who have also received divine messages that Jesus will return to the earth on May 27, 2012…..or so he says.  And what about the much publicized Mayan calendar and the belief that the world will come to an end on December 21, 2012? October 2009 WHAT IS A CHRISTIAN? Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopal, Baptist, Methodist, Mormon, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Jehovah Witnesses...these are just a few of the many different religious communities that are called Christians.  Did you know that of the 6.7 billion people in the world today, 2.1 billion of them (or 1/3 of the world's population) identifies themselves as Christian.  Although on the decline, this number still represents the largest population within religious communities.  However, when the description of a Christian is illuminated by the light of the Holy Bible the actual number of Christians plunges dramatically.  Click here for more information. April 2009 THE AMERICAN APOSTASY  Results from Trinity College’s 2008 national longitudinal religious survey has revealed that the percentage of Christians in America has dropped from 86.2% in the 1990s to 76% in 2008. Could this be the beginning of the great apostasy that is described in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 that will occur before the man of sin (aka the Anti-Christ)is revealed?  Click here for more information.

Welcome to The Berean Approach website - the website designed for helping Believers become like the Bereans who searched the Word of God daily to confirm what was taught before embracing it (Acts 17:11).  The Berean Approach is the practice of confirming religious lessons and practices by researching the subject matter using authoritative resources (a trustworthy Bible, concordance, Hebrew and Greek Lexicons, and Expository Bible Dictionary). Although this type of research practice is common in secular educational institutions (at least among good students), in regards to religious studies, particularly within the Christian Church, very few people actually take time to research what has been taught. Instead, it is commonly assumed that the lessons taught by church leaders, as well as religious practices of the congregation, are indeed biblically based and therefore correct and approved by God.  However, when incorrect teachings and practices are introduced, they are only passed down from one generation to another without ever being challenged to the writings of the Holy Scriptures. Some of these erroneous practices can be traced as far back as the early church fathers.  Through an extension of this problem, countless Christian reference books, videos, and other materials containing these same errors have been successfully promoted by some churches to justify their religious position and practices rather than allowing the Holy Bible to justify and judge their position and practices, and the accuracy of these reference books. This website is designed to promote how to study the Bible for yourself, how to understand the original content of Bible passages, how to get behind the true meaning of the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek words of the Bible, and how to share what you learned with others.  The Berean Approach will dispel many myths and lies about the Bible that has been passed down from generation to generation and will help you understand what "thus said the LORD".  For example, what does it mean to be "saved" and how does one really receive salvation?  Is there really only one denominational church that is recognized by God?  How do you identify the true church of Jesus Christ and protect yourself from deception?  Does the Bible teach about a pre-tribulation rapture of the church or is this something new?  Join me in an exploration of God's holy and sacred Scriptures as we take The Berean Approach to discover the truth behind these and other important subjects of the Holy Bible and Christian practices.    You are visitor number: Thank you for visiting
